Daughters inner strength shows through!

Sunday, my daughters sister inlaw was shot and killed in the parking lot of her church by her husband. My daughter called and told me that morning. Of course there were tears and fear for the children who were with the husband that weekend. The husband turned himself in later that day and the children were found at the husbands cousins house. During all the media frenzie that has followed this event, my daughter has been able to pull strength from somewhere and has been the families spokeperson on TV. I am proud of her and her ability to handle a terrible situation with as much poise as she has. Prayers

to the children who have now become instant orphans. This was in Salt Lake area.

Dave that is very sad news my friend. Sorry she has had to go through this and how horrible for the children and relatives involved. I'll say a prayer for your family this evening. Bless them.

You have to be very proud indeed that she is providing solidarity in such a chaotic time. Such a sad, sad thing. Just remember that she will have her moment when the blizzard of emotions settles down, and hopefully there will be someone close by that she can lean on.

I somehow think she comes from good stock.

Well, that is sad. Why do people seem to think that a gun can solve their domestic problems? How can a man develop that much anger at a woman he (once?) loved? :frown:

No words were spoken by him as he walked up and shot 10 times. 8 of which hit her. Amazing he did not then turn and shoot her mother just on the other side of the car. There were EMT's there going to church and were to her seconds after it happened but her mother said she never uttered a sound. If he had not had access to a gun I am sure he would have used whgatever it took to get to where he wanted to go. As it stands these two children may be my new grandchildren. Speaks to making sure you tell everyone that you love, that you do love them. They may not be here long!

Dave, you are right to be proud of her! I am impressed with her strength and faith in this tough situation. My prayers will be with her and her family. I am glad those children have someone so grounded and centered to be with during this time, they will need it.
