There is alot of sheet water out there.
North of the Hillsboro Airport, these is a grass field loaded with ducks.
Them little sucker are walking/waddling from puddle to puddle feeding and chasing oneanother.

Sorry no pics but it was horrible.I fired 4 rounds and no ducks.Very few flying none came to the decoys. Its been a rough year for me and hunting.

Horrible? Not hardly, unproductive maybe...horrible NO.
Horrible would be sitting here at work like me wishing I could have an unproductive day in the marsh like you.
I know, I know.....it's just horrible isn't it!

How many times have you been out?? At least 5-10 right?...at an avg of 4-6hrs per trip.
That's 1200-3600 minute of pure liquid sunshine soaked bliss. 5-10 beautiful sunrises or sunsets, 10-20 thermos's of coffee, countless conversations with your fellow duck brothers.

No,.....I think you've had a GREAT season so far.

For a guy looking at the ducks circle from the back window of my home with a bum shoulder waiting for joint replacement surgery, I would give anything just to be you right now. No pity please, just count your blessings and keep your attitude in the right place. I live on stories and memories right now.

All right you got me I miss worded it. It was a great trip from that stand point. Everything was good but the harvesting. Maybee next time.
