Rally against BLM on 1-8
These people scare me!
WOPR Rally in Medford, Jan 8th
If you have homes or land near BLM lands in Oregon, join your neighbors to express concerns in a PEACEFUL RALLY about the following issues and more:
• Proposed national OHV, ORV, ATV recreation area in all the watershed areas of Deer Creek and Applegate Valley with high resulting noise levels and soil erosion
• Proposals in the Western Oregon Plan Revision (WOPR) that will triple current logging levels
• Illegal removal of Northwest Forest Plan protections for forests, streams, and wildlife
• Favoritism to commercial interests over our quality of life, community development, tourism, and property values.
Date: Tuesday January 8, 2008
Time: 11 AM
Location: BLM headquarters in Medford, 3040 Biddle Rd.
Illinois Valley Residents: Join your neighbors from Illinois Valley to travel by a relaxing bus, funded by concerned neighbors, that will leave Shop Smart in CJ at 9 AM and Ray’s market in Selma at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, January 8 and arrive in Medford for the rally!
Please bring a light lunch or snack; water will be furnished.
Contact 592-2408 or e-mail <cmec@cavenet.com> for additional information. Also, please read our website http://www.woprrally.n3.net
These are the people smoking illegal dope and keeping licensed and permitted hunters and fishers from pursuing their recreation in the Jackson & Josephine County areas. The payment in lieu of taxes from federal receipts of logging and mining are not going to keep Oregon governmental services financed in the future. Will anarchy reign?.
Oregon hunters and fishers are scared stiff to step out of their vehicles to hike, hunt, and fish in these areas. These are the people smoking & growing grass by the bale! I think that these jokers need to be stopped and soon!
Will this staged politically-driven event make Portland or Northern Oregon news? These are the folks that want their own state of “JEFFERSON”’! Comments, please.

Calm down, pot smoking hippies are not to fear. Its not the pot smokers that worry me, its the meth heads and Mexican drug cartels that scare me and they don't give a rat about anything much less showing up at a rally.

So! Are you scared of meth and pot heads, too?

Re: Rally against BLM on 1-8
No! I'm not suicidal, but some on this weblog maybe canidates for the weapons that they profess to need.
However, I am scared to go to SW Oregon. I have learned to watch out for myself, and carry a weapon for extra safety. I usually start at the coast, Gold Beach, and proceed inland. I repeat, I have been scared!
If all <Happiness> broke loose....
This is crazy. How unhappy are you visioning....
If as bad as I think;
SUGGEST: .22 SINGLE SHOT AND CALL IT SUICIDE!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I'll bite.
How do you know that these are the people smoking pot and keeping god-fearing law-abiding good folks out of the woods? I'm having a little trouble visualizing 48 doper terrorists chartering a bus from 9 to 1 to intimidate public officials.

Re: Rally against BLM on 1-8
Spring Bear Hunting in the Selma area from '01 to '05, trying to access the Babyfoot Lake Area to look at a USFS project to contol noxious weeds, especially spotted knotweed. Also, a planned timber sale, that needed to be cut.
There is an area seeded with grass species, that is 'bear candy' in the early spring. Also, it is great ungulate habitat. USFS and Josephine Co, officials closed the road for public entry.
Anyone, that knew about huntin' the Siskiyou, was more than irate! I certainly was, and know others more miffed than me.
God! We (OR hunters) need help to right this wrong.

I guess I'm out of the loop not being from there, but if it is to stop the Red Diaper Doper Babies from shuting down the sport I love, Go Get Um.

Re: Rally against BLM on 1-8
I like to walk in when i hunt so I don't mind seeing the road restricted to foot traffic. Also, I have never felt a tinge of fear in SW Oregon when hunting or otherwise in the woods.

Re: Rally against BLM on 1-8
This proposed action from BLM has nothing to do with pot smoking hippies..If you like to hunt the Medford area or many areas around there, you should be informed about this topic..This is simply another user group of that area trying to pull their weight..It's unfortunate that many hunters don't do the same...
