Re: Banana Smelly Jelly!?!?!?!
That's some great stuff! Tried it the other night on some Tillamook Ice cream with hot fudge! No, but really, in AZ we used to fish for grass carp w/ bannana peels...makes you wonder if there's some value to the scent.

I think it was Mister Twister that puts Banana scent in some of their soft plastic Bass lures.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helvetica">we find fresh water clams in the stomachs of sturgeon all the time (they are usually the size of a nickle up to a little bit bigger than a quarter). in some spots, that is all we find in them other than our bait. usually around the horsetail falls area and up above bonneville near cascade locks. Re: Banana Smelly Jelly!?!?!?!
One year while drifting eggs for springers, I met a guy that said he liked to put a drop of pure banana extract into his egg cure! He said it worked real well. But you know those sneaky fisher people!

Re: Banana Smelly Jelly!?!?!?!
I've had sturgeon on more than one occassion that tasted like mild clams.....definetly one of their major food sources. (hence the bottom sucking m outh) ....

Re: Banana Smelly Jelly!?!?!?!
Never seen it before. I'll look into it though. Seems like a weird scent but may have its benefits for some other species besides NW fish. Just like the new Smelly Jelly clam scent that guys have been using for sturgeon. Didn't know sturgeon ate clams but they hammer the fish on that scent.
