Can anyone tell me if sturgeon fishing in the tongue point area is any good for sturgeon this time of year. We usually launch at john day ramp. We were thinking of maybe trying it but wanted to know if it might be worth a shot, Thanks,sturgeon1.
It can be great once you find the fish but this time of year they can be extremely hard to locate. We got a couple of keepers to the boat in December but I'm going to wait until May before I start making trips.
I was down there the first part of January and never touched a fish. I talked to an ol timer that said the nets were there a week before I and they never got a fish either.
