Default Thoughts/feedback on Warne rings and bases?

I am looking for a 20MOA sloped picatinny rail and rings. Normally I would just go with Badger Ordnance, but I would love to purchase a locally made product if the quality is there. Does anyone here have any thoughts or feedback on Warne products? If you have specific experience with their QD rings I would appreciate that as well.

When I searched ifish I found quite a few threads were Warne products were mentioned but nothing too detailed.

Thanks,
SB

They make the best heavy pistol rail/rings, bar none.

I have a set of their 1 inch rings & 2 piece base for one of my Rem 700's. they are about as tough built as I have ever seen and seem to work real well - I'm happy with them. They are a little on the heavy side but if that isn't an issue they make nice stuff and the price isn't bad.

Actually my uncle owns Warne, so you know how I feel about them. Seriously though, they are the very best ring and bases I own. I have them on most of my hunting rifles and I love them. As previously said, they are a little heavy, but you wont find a stronger setup IMO.

I didn't have the QD rings but the std rings never budged on my 300 wm. I would buy them again.

Depends on if you want light weight I am getting tallys on my new Kimber but I have warn rings on my other rifles. I would think you could get warn at any gun shops locally.

Weight isn't an issue as the rifle is already north of 10lbs w/o a scope. Has anyone needed to use the warranty on their rings or bases? That will tell me one of two things: If the answer is always 'no' then they must build some good stuff. If the answer is 'yes' and the experience was positive then I know they have good customer service.

Like I said earlier I am familiar with BO and the like but this will be my first Warne purchase.

Have them on a few rifles - excellent quality. My dad purchased them recently and (his fault) got the wrong bases. He called Warne and they sent him a new set in the mail before he even returned his. Excellent customer service. I'm guessing you could buy them locally at Warne if you can't find what you want in stores. Sportsman's had a pretty good stock last time I checked.

I think that they are nearly fool-proof. The only setup that could be stronger would be an integral setup where the ring attached directly to the receiver without a mount (such as Ruger or Sako). As far as the style of ring, I prefer the Talley because they are lighter. That's the only reason though.
