Gartners Meat Market
I was at Gartners meat market today (I think the rest of Portland was there also) but they are having a awesome sale on there boneless smoked hams right now, any Sugar cured or peppered ham any size $20, I picked up about a 12lb one, the lady told me that is a $70 ham, everyone was getting one, they still had alot left at 5pm, and the sign said they were open on sundays 9-4, just a heads up.
Also they had Large smoked turkeys for $25, they might be $20 by now, I think they smoked tons of both hams and turkeys for the holidays and don't want to get stuck with them.

I love that place! What are the thin, cross cut ribs called? Someone served them at a tailgate party, BBQ'd, they were real tasty!

Re: Gartners Meat Market
Thanks for the tip. I called my wife and had her pick up one honey and one peppered ham. I can't wait to try them. I have never had anything from there.

One of the only reasons I miss living in the inner city...I love those guys. Their breakfast pork links are the best I've found anywhere. Never been dissappointed.

Re: Gartners Meat Market
I took my last black bear in for processing. They smoked the hams. It was great. The beast came from the Chetco Unit.
It cost @ 75 cents a pound. Well worth it. Try it.

Love their snack sausage. I could eat a pound of that a day.

Re: Gartners Meat Market
Doug...
Thanks for the update. The wife will be over after school lets out. Friends have talked about Gartner's before, we used to do Angelo's on 181'st but they went out of business. Glad to know Gartners does wild game. I wasn't sure what I was going to do without Angelo's. Had to use Ron's out of Wamic this year and he was a little pricey. Thanks again...
