Default A little to thin.

I got this on another site and thought it shows a good lesson.

Someone, somewhere, decided to remove the rusted pits from the bores of this LC Smith. I'm assuming this because, though the OD of the bbl's are polished and reblued, I can still see the washed-out pits around the lettering.

The bores now measure .739". This left the barrel wall thickness at .018"-.019"...a wee bit thin.

A local dealer had this gun on consignment and had it sold. Three shots later and this is what the customer's "new" gun looked like. I've no idea who wil be coughing up the money for this.

No one was hurt.

Hmm, me thinks that someone is going to have a newly developed "shooters flinch" to overcome.

Wow! I wouldn't have wanted to be shooting trap next to that guy when it cut loose. It looks like what happens when there is an obstruction in the barrel.

It would have ruined my whole day.
I wonder what kind of load he was shooting?
