columbia sportswear outlet??
Does anyone know if there is a Columbia Sportswear outlet?? Wanting to pick my wife up a new coat and I thought I had heard there was one but never had a "need" to know anymore about it until now. Also, I guess, if there is one is it worth it? I.E. do you save much over the regular stores?THANKS!! :Christmas:

There is one in Lake Oswego and Lincoln City. I feel that if you hit it right you can save some good money there vs a full retail store.

The one in LO is on Boones Ferry in the shopping center at the top of the hill. It's tucked back in the corner of mall, kind of hard to see from the street.
There's another on Tacoma Street in Sellwood. Don't remeber exactly where it's at, but it is marked pretty well and easy to see on the North side of the street.

Hey Steve,
Sometimes you can beat the outlet prices with clearance, coupons, and sales at Joes. They are a huge seller of Columbia.
And if you can haggle you can make a great deal. I bought some neo waders yesterday for 21 dollars. shhhh.

Re: columbia sportswear outlet??
At times there are smoking deals at the outlet, I have only been to the one in Sellwood. Most of the time when I walk in, the sales are 20 or 30% off, and selection is what I would call moderate. Every once in a while I see 75% and get a great deal. They never advertise them though as far as I know, you just gotta be there to see it.
Look for a "B" or a "2" on the tag. A "B" stands for bucket and it came back from a store because it didnt sell, A "2" means its a second.

Big columbia store at the woodburn mall. I don't know if it's considered "outlet" or not.

Call first, they will tell you what they are currently stocking. It seems like the outlet store usually has winter gear in the late summer.

Re: columbia sportswear outlet??
Thanks for the input everyone!! I called the one at Woodburn and they had last years style in light blue or bright pink for about $85 less than I could get this years for. Planned on going there today. However, I ended up getting to Hillsboro a bit early last night for bolwing and went ahead and stopped into Freddies. They had a big sale going on plus another coupon available for C.S. coats. I found the original one I had been looking at in the color I wanted for her for only about $25 more than the Woodburn price. So I didn't have to drive to Woodburn and this color, which is darker, will work a lot better for her with all the kiddies. She likes the lighter colors but doesn't wear them because she's afraid of them getting stained too fast.
So there's my Christmas Gift success story!
Thanks again for the helpful info everyone!! :Christmas:
