A fellow ifisher and a soon to be Salty Dog bought this boat. He is a good friend of mine. His name is "Pepe Da Pack Mule" on ifish.

The boat is in great shape. We are going to take the kicker off and go to a new Yami kicker, and might upgrade some electronics. The big motor has great compression and the boat came with several life suites!

Now we just need a couple wing men to help us learn Hali and tuna fishing

I guess I am the lucky Ifisher that got hold of this boat. I was fortunate enough to check the webpage the same day when the owner dropped his price from 24K to 17.5K (guess he needed some fast cash). I had been looking for the past 3-4 months and had a 20K budget and never thought that I would find a Grady White for that price in the PNW.

I just want to say thanks to all the Salty Dogs for the advice and wisdom I got from reading through all these posts. I can't wait til we (Drunk Cowboy) put our first fish in the boat. Also can't wait to see the kids reel in their first salmon.

Hey Pepe';

I have been Jones'n to toss a fly at some tuna the past couple of years; even tossin' flies at some surface feeding coho (in Oregon????) is not beyond the realm of effort at least.

I am sure I will be safe on your boat, as no doubt your loyal deckhand "deecee" (no names, to protect the guilty)will jump in and wrestle any surface-lounging great white right out of harms way.

By the way, congrats on the new ride

Lund - Thanks and nice meeting ya! The boat ran great, just have to get used to the open transom. Need to run the old gas out and look at changing the plugs. Definitely will be looking at replacing the kicker with the automatic tilt. Too much of a hassle manually and also safety factor of possibly slipping and going overboard. Just can't wait to get the fishing lines wet!

Raz - you're welcome anytime however you will probably have to put up with my wingman.....at least for now considering the boat is at his place.

Ras,

Fly Fishing for Tuna sounds like a ton of fun! When the fish come back within range, I will call you on the phone and let you know how we did:tongue:

Dangit DeeCee, that was pretty funny; got me to chuckle for the first time this morning.

Pepe', I think I could live with Gilligan on board (and if he had Mary Ann in tow...well....). Just need to come-up with a some sort of signal to let me know when he is preparing to pull-off one of his stunts. Don't think I can outrun (or out swim) the young lad.
