Duck quacks

My 9 yr. old daughter Emilee tells me that a duck quack does not echo. Does anyone know if this is true??

I used to hunt about 1 mile downstream from a reservoir dam, and highballs would echo off the dam (along with the sound of gunfire)

A duck's quack is a soundwave, nothing special about it.

People always say this and I don't get why (your daughter's nine, not knocking her in the slightest way). A ducks quack is just a sound wave, it will echo just as every other sound wave will.
