There are some but I don't believe there is allot. I have caught some in the Tanner Creek arm fishing back in the creek. The ones I have caught there have been on soft plastic baits fishing for bass. They seem to like small zoom lizards fished on Carolina rig.

I would assume power bait catfish nuggets and scent would be a good start if you are targeting them.

Worms on or close to the bottom. Works every time.

Try in the Sein Cr. arm. Follow the creek channel all the way out into the deeper water of the arm.

Carolina rig or a slip sinker w/ worms or powerbait below will catch 'em everytime. Find out from ODFW when the spawning cycle is and fish them during that time. Nonstop action.

I'd have to agree that for bullhead, worms are extremely affective. A slip sinker will better allow the detection of a bite which will allow prompt hook setting to avoid a swallowed hook. These fish are ravenous.

With poor eyesight but highly-developed olfactory senses, it pays to use a little additional attractant on any bait. Since bullheads have an affinity for licorice, pure anise oil is an effective choice.

Excuse my ignorance but, why target bullheads?

Chicken liver, anise scent, and most important, a slip sinker. Don't "tight line" you want some slack. Let the cat take line, when it stops, then set the hook. Dang, I miss spending all night at Cochiti Lake (north of Albuquerque) fishing for cats.
