Nestucca bay legal to hunt?

I was looking at the regs and looked on a map to see where the closed area is. It apears it is from cloverdale west to the ocean, all the way south to neskowin then back north along hwy 101 back to cloverdale is closed to hunting. This would include nearly all of nestucca bay and definately the best hunting area. It appears closed, but I know for sure people have been hunting this area this year. Is it closed or can you hunt it?

I dont know but if the regs say no i would follow it.
This might be something you bring up to ODFW.

I believe the Nestucca Bay NWR is on the Little Nestuc arm and and is without a doubt closed. The area you described sound like the goose closure area. Smart move to call the tilly ODFW and ask.

Yes you are right it is the closure for the goose permit zone.

They, the geese, know exactly where that line is too. There are thousands of them in that little loop!!
