Tillamook Bay

Two of us dropped plug cut purple label herring outside off the south jetty in 35',trolled west and had a rod go off in less then ten minutes !! Ripped line off , tore up the surface , he dug underneith the boat , stayed wedged there and got something to tear through my tuff-line and off he went with ten oz of lead on 20" dropper , five feet of leader and two big hooks in his jaw .While I'm rerigging , my buddies rod dives and ten minutes later he tags a 36' buck. Trolled just outside the jaws during the incoming and at around 10:30 my rod goes bezerk from 20 pounds of bright hen !!! All in all , not a bad day . Did not alot of nets fly .
