Any advice for some bank fishing spots around Portland?

Was hoping to catch a salmon or two this sunday, and was thinking about the Sandy River. I was going to fish the bank down below the bridge there at Lewis and Clark. Any advice for this are? I was going to bring some blue fox spinners, some eggs, and some spin and glows and see what I could do.

Or are there some other spots I would be better off going to? I'd like to stay within an hour of Portland, and I dont have a Washington Liscense, so wouldnt be able to fish up there.
