First Kill
Some of you may remember this from a year ago. She went often with me but couldn't shoot.
Then she got a shooting stick about 3 weeks ago. Practiced a little.
And bang... today she got her first duck. She didn't even wait to let the dog give it to her. She just took it. Dang it's going to be a good year. With many to come hopefuly.

The first pic is outside of Forest Grove. The sticks are corn stalks.

Re: First Kill
Just a note to everyone who uses the phrase, "I can't wait until my son/daughter is old enough...."
This little gal has been going out since she was a tot. Rauly went to great lengths to build up to this day. It didn't just happen.
Talk about planting the seeds. "Whatsoever a man shall sow, that shall he also reap." Looks like your harvest is in pretty good shape, pal.

Re: First Kill
Suart- remember the days of bringing her along on goose hunts and fixing her up with candy and toys and neon-bright warm close? I think those days imprinted the hunting instinct into her- she's going to be deadly! (even if we weren't always- he he). Congrats- you gotta be a proud dad! Dave

Re: First Kill
Looks like a great time. I really enjoy hunting with my daughter more than most men that I know. Looks like your future hunting partner in the making. Tell her congrats on her first bird.
