Default Salmon Limit

I am confused with the Washington regs regarding the limits on Salmon. It state that the limit is 6 with no more than 2 adults. How long is an adult salmon? How many Chinook vs. Coho?

What about a report from the Sandy/Chinook landing area?

Thanks for any help!

24"+ are Chinook adults
20"+ are Coho adults

2 chinook, OR 2 silvers, OR one of each.

Right everybody?

you are right on the chinook: 24"
but the coho is 16" and steelhead is 20". I am pretty sure what they are talking about is adult vs. jacks. The upper river is the only place that I know of that you can keep a jack. The lower river (buoy 10) its the stated limits.

You have to check the regs SPECIFICALLY for the area you are fishing. In some areas, Chinook longer than 22" are adults, in some areas it's 24". In some areas, Coho must be at least 16" to keep.....in other areas there is no min size.

If it says: Limit:6, only two of which can be adults, then you can keep 2 adults (check the definition of "adult" in your area) and 4 jacks.
