Yes we played around down there Friday and Saturday. We felt fortunate to find some volunteers ...especially Friday  The pinnies and wigeons were bombing us all day. I've never seen pinnies decoy so well? You would have thought they took stupid pills or something, must have been an enormous amount of young new birds or something.
BTW ... It was pretty obvious the birds were going inland Saturday. You could tell the big flocks were getting out of harms way.
Duck hunting in the snowfall is something I've always enjoyed. It is the first time I've not been running my own boat in that kind of weather though. I have a tendency to wear out hunting and fishing friends, either they're too soft or their wives are too tough.
Not being captain ... I'm getting better at releasing control. 20 years of taking other people hunting and fishing. It's pretty nice to have someone take me out on their boat. Especially when they know what they're doing!
