Hang on Gurl! Should make for some great pics but I think I would avoid standing near the horn... or the bridge for that matter...

Ever see a PFD requirement for Chicken point?

I hope onlookers stay safe....

The bays locally should be very dramatic when it all peaks?

We'll be watching, maybe lashed to a street light? LOL:tongue:

Hope our roof shingles hold on and shore pines stay rooted?
Everyone, use common sense and don't do anything dangerous during this event, please! I suspect emergency folks will have their hands full this weekend?

lol, I was telling my friend yesterday that I'm going to put on the rain gear, grab a beer and sit at Chicken point and enjoy the front role seat to the storm!

In Newport today at the Embarcadaro. Planned on pulling the boat out but quickly changed our minds when we felt the winds. Trees and powerlines down on the way over. Most boats at Embarcadaro looked pretty good. A few tops were getting tore up. A couple foot tall swells and some nasty white caps rolling across the bay. Shane was hard at work getting some of the boats tied down better. Good luck and be safe.

29 topped out at 43 feet, and the pressure is still dropping. At least the period is over 10 seconds...

Check out the plot of windspeed, gusts and barometric pressure. There is a big glitch in the chart at about the time the '29 broke loose.

40 plus foot waves. Wonder what that ride was like.

How long to fix them? We kinda depend on live offshore data to make good decisions.
