Boat checks - South Beach Marina
I know a number of you have pulled your boats from SB Marina for the season But for those of you who still have boats here, if you want your boats checked on after the big blow, please let me know. I have to work both Sunday and Monday from 7A to 7P, but will try to work my way down there for you if there is any body who wants it.
PM or post below. If you PM me, please consider giving me a phone number where I can contact you in case I find a problem. It cuts down on the time it takes to get a hold of you, either thru the Port of Newport and/or ifish.
Be safe.

Re: Boat checks - South Beach Marina
If you are down there, we would sure appreciate a look at my Dads boat. It's on G Dock. Not sure of the slip number but it is the 4th boat on the right as you start down the dock. 32' Bayliner "Cats Meow" backed into the slip. I buckled her down tight last weekend, but it would be nice to know how she faired the storm.
Thanks!

Re: Boat checks - South Beach Marina
Just returned from South Beach, Newport. Hwy 20 is open both ways from Corvallis to Newport....no delays. There is power and cell service (verizon) at South beach. Have the normal parts and pieces of dock boxes here and there... but didn't see any serious boat damage.
I specifically checked the following slips/boats.
Myrtle Bee........ok
E-59......ok
E-36......ok
E-38......some wind damage.......pm me!
C-83......slight list to starboard....swim platform clearance from starboard to port is app. 1 to 3 inches respectively...otherwise looks fine.
Sorry Fish Fever......I didn't see your post before I went over....however checking Myrtle Bee I didn't see anything unusual on G Dock.

Fish Fever,
I will check your boat tomorrow in the light. I have been working a few extra hours because of the storm and just checked ifish for updates.

Re: Boat checks - South Beach Marina
If anybody needs a boat checked on in Depoe Bay, I'd be happy to check it out for ya. I live VERY close to the harbor and walking down there is no problem whatsoever.

Fish Fever,
I was able to check your boat, the Cats Meow, earlier today. It is still sound and tied up properly. The top side canvas is torn at the snaps and loose. Your moorage neighbors captured some more of the canvas covering after it had blown off and stowed it inside for you.
Hope this helps.
