Default binelli r-1 need opinions

I'm looking for a new rifle and I'm so impressed with my shotgun I was looking at the r-1 in 300 w.s.m. caliber. Has anyone got one and if so have you had any problems. I have a remington 700 7mag but I would like something different.

Yes the R-1 will clean up easy like the shotgun, but the accuracy is no better than 1.5 MOA. The Browning BAR with a BOSS will easily tune to sub MOA. If you're going to consider shots over 250 yards, this may matter to you. Personally, I find the R-1 to be in league with the Nova...*****!

While I love my SBEII, I'm not sold on the R1 yet. My biggest complaint is that the clip hangs below the action and doesn't fit my hand. Since I like to carry my rifle with my hand versus on my shoulder, it doesn't work for me.

And you can get better than 1.5MOA with a non-Boss BAR.

Here's a great article that talks about accuracy.

I don't own one, but I thought Benelli considered 2.5MOA acceptable for the R1. 2.5MOA would be ok for a less expensive rifle, but the R1 is pricey. I'd rather have a BAR Shortrac and use the money saved to upgrade the scope.
