Default Rogue Report

Spent saturday drifting from agness to Quosatana park with my son and fishing buddy. The 1/2 lbers. were a little slow (my son caught 8) but rather large (averaging 17-18 inches)The real bonus was seeing my son catch a 23 lb. chinook chromer with a small panther martin with his 4-6 lb. G-loomy and 6 lb. test. Took 1 hour and 15 to reach the net.The smile on his face will permenantly be engrained in my mind. he also caught a 6 lb. coho (wild/released) on the same set-up.

Great news for your son Freak! I needed 20 lb test to catch mine. Fished the Middle Rogue Salmon Derby around Grants Pass last Friday and Saturday. Landed a 32, 15 & a jack. Great time!! Hope the picture turns out, funny how your eyes seem to always shut just as the camera snaps!! Hawg

My trip was a great one down there this weekend as well. We were up in the canyon and had plenty of action. I think between four of us in 2 boats we landed 12 adults and 10 jacks in 3 days... 1 was over 30lbs.

used a combination of spinners, herring, and eggs... jacks love the eggs

saw fish freak float by on saturday afternoon ....

only down side were the super strong winds which made trolling and back bouncing difficult at times.

Nice Fish Hawgwash! Always wanted to try that stretch. I usually fish the upper rouge for springers.

I'll do that Crusin!!!!!!!. Have fished alot in the Agness area. My son and I had a great time. When the wind starts howling in the agness stretch it makes things tough on the rower/operator of a drift boat.

Wetaline,

Sorry that I didn't get a chance to stop and shoot the bull. Was getting concerned about pulling out before dark. Congradulations on
your fish. I bet it was a blast. I had some nice roe, unfortunately didn't get a chance to use it. Unbeleivable how many fish in the water. I might make it down one more time this year.
