Default Coastal "not so" Chrome and Crawdaddy (PIC)

Floated a coastal river today in the "great sunshine".

Huge crawdaddy that I roped with my mainline.

One uppset daddy! Sometimes when the fishing is slow, or in my case, I am slow, I have to amuse myself.

Here is the first one I landed while floating in my little 8' Outcast. Needless to say things are interesting rowing fighting, and and general struggle to shore. I was useing custom float and shrimp set up. This fish had two entire leaders comign out of it's mouth besides mine. So I aquired a rare Red and White Glo-Go and a pink corkie.

Here is the only other one I caught on the same set up with eggs this time. Both fish look liek spent summers to me.

I knew you would find some!

How was the float? As quick as you thought?

Got2fish-
I have only seen him skunked one time...I think he needs to register as a commercial fisherman.

Yea, not only did he floss that Crawdad, but be completely removed it from the water. I think someone should pass a regulation that you cannot completely remove native crayfish from the water as you are releasing them...

Just kiddin, thanks for the cool picture. I had no idea they were out this time of year. Down south in NM they would dig into the mud and kind of hybernated for the winter.

Wow that's a heck of a dinner! I fished at the NF today and saw quite a few caught. There were two college age guys down lower catching the heck out of them on floats, I see them all the time. Do you know anything about these guys? Oh well I got my fish for the day, thanks for the tips!
