Back from another South Dakota Pheasent Hunt!!!!!

Greetings fellas, just returned home from another great shoot at my homestate of South Dakota!! A safe and FUN time was had by all who hunted in our groups!! As usual the birds were in abundance and on the last hunt of the weekend the landowner told us that in all the groups he's had at his property this year they have already harvested over 1,100 birds at his place,........the wingshootin in SD is simply unreal!! So in closing heres a few pics for you fellas to take a gander at!!!!

Glad you had a great time. I would love to get out there one day. Ducks in the morning and roosters in the afternoon.

Way to go, I went there for the opener and had a great time. Nothing like getting to the end of a field to have dozens of birds start flying out.

I'm jealous!! As an former Nebraskan, I miss that type of hunting more than just about anything. Bet it was a hoot.

The beer is Leinenkugel's

a very tasty end to a good day shooting roosters in SD.
I used to go over and hunt the Chamberlain/Kennebec area. We had some phenomenal days. The sheer #s of bird can be hard to imagine unlesss you witness it firsthand.

Hey Triggerman. Nice hunt... we just got back a couple of weeks ago with similair results. Wow, there are a bunch of birds if you are in the right place.

What part of the state did you hunt in?

that looks like a lot of fun. I'm heading that way after new years for the end of the season to hunt with my buddy who is stationed at ellsworth air force base. I think we might try to get a couple of late season does while I'm there too. Hopefully the bird hunting holds up through the first of next year, I know this year has supposed to have been one of the best in a while in south dakota.

And Swamp Critter, to answer your question I was hunting in the NE corner of the state in Brown County, Sorta near the Mina Lake area!!!!

I was a little disappointed last year hunting public grounds around Mitchell. Do you know how the hunters were doing on the many public areas SD has to offer?

Two labs, I heard alot of good reports from guys hunting public grounds this year, Theres just a ton of birds all over!! In my opinion Mitchell has never been known for having awesome pheasent hunting, maybe Im wrong but cant remember hearing many good things about that area!!! They do happen to have a nice Cabellas though!!!!
