Default makinaw

just a question for those who fish mackinaw.

can you troll using a diver and flasher with a cut plug hering. or is it better to use a flasher and downriggers. i have never fished for them but an thinking of going on friday if the lake is still open and not snowed over.

Definitely a downrigger. Most of us mack guys fish a 100-350 foot set back and anywhere from 25 to 225 feet deep. Can you imagine pulling in that much line with a diver?
