Done!!!
Well, after hunting my arse off for the past several weeks i finally shot a deer..I've passed on several good deer trying to kill one buck imparticular..That deer never showed his face at all..I don't know what it is, but i've felt like a blundering idiot walking in the woods this year..That combined with the rut really slowing and basketball games start tomorrow..Plus, my better half was starting to give me the look like it was time to be done.. We went to her sisters place in Salem for Turkey Day. I hunted daylight til dark for three days and this was only the second buck i had seen. Jumped him out of his bed at 8 am. Had a little stare down then he made the mistake of putting his head behind a reprod tree leaving me his vitals at 52yds. I was very exciting to be standing over a dead buck.. And now my year is over..I can do a little Salmon fishing and might have some of those DUCK hunters give me a lesson...

Nice job. Sounds kind of like my season so far...except for the standing over a dead buck part.

Idaho hunt was tough on me..Didn't see many animals at all..Did see whitetail from 2000ft to 5500ft. Very spread out and tough to pinpoint. I did learn a ton of country and would love to get back there with a little better timing..I was way too early, but it won't be my last trip there...

Good job JC, I know you passed on bigger ones early, but the pressure of family pushes to get it done sometimes.
