Default TA meeting in Corvallis

Anyone interested>?

Holidays are tough I realize but there has to be a day or evening we can all agree on.

You know what happens when you leave it up to the masses there my friend 5 different dates and six who can't make it to any of them. First weekend of December is really bad for me (volunteer work), the 4th is the iFish Christmas party.

Pick a day - those that can - WILL

Yeah, I'm in. Other than the 4th I'm ready. I've got a couple of things I can bring for show-and-tell.

Woodstock's?

I think the 'A' is for Anonymous

AA > people with a drinking problem

TA > people with a tuna problem

Ok well I had an idea on the way back from the beach. What about a crab boil?

I think Avery park would work. Now we just need a little break on weekend weather in December and 2 dozen fresh caught crabs on the day in question.

Or

Pizza and beer.

We'll work out a date on Monday.

Have we ironed out a date for this meeting?

I hope its not from the 6th-9th ... I'll be in Reno, and I'd totally like to attend and see you guys again!

Tuesday, Dec 11, 1900 to 2130, (subtract 12 to get the pm time) at Woodstocks Pizza in Corvallis on Kings Blvd.

This is a pretty slow night of the week so we help them out in the bargain.

I'll link a menu and you can pre order to have it ready when you show up if you want. The other event will take a little planning. This one is a 'hey how ya doin'. Bring a rod, box of tackle, list of questions or whatever short of a boat.

The other event will be a crab boil. The issues are obtaining a fresh pile of crab and finding an outdoor location. Newport would work best for a place to do it but the crabbing is much better on the CR.

I picture a crabbing trip followed by a boil. Sooner is better, some of us are sodium deficient.

Any ideas or elaborations are welcome.

Thanks for the pre-planning John.
Rod & I are planning to attend and we are planning for a couple of important purchases for our new to us boat and maybe there could be an opportunity to have some discussion about these products we have a need for--with those who have some experience to share-
We have plans for an EPIRB purchase and also will be installing a fuel flow meter of some sort.
Now that we have a boat for better offshore opportunities, I'm sure looking forward to my next TUNA! trip--my 1st was this year & awsome with 24 fish in a couple of hours

Thanks so much-
Cheri & Rod

Dude...

I'll be there. Tuesday is ACTUALLY a night off! Go figure?! Anyway, my vote for the crab boil is Newport, or even Waldport; since the crabbing there is often better. Location in Waldport could be figured out easy enough with some Salty Dogs contacts we already have there (Ryan, you looking at this?)
