Default salmon river/nehalem jaws

fished the salmon at the forrestry hole then the blackberry hole, to no avail. Saw several fish rolling at the blackberry, and three caught. Heard of some caught closer to the bridge also.

Left the salmon in time to fish the last two hours of high tide off the south jetty at nehalem. About 20 boats in the area, and probly 12-15 fish caught from where I could see. I was fishing herring under a float and fighting the seagulls for every cast. I did catch two seagulls but no fish.

If you're considering buying a drift boat, but are still not sure? I recommend fishing the salmon from the bank. You will leave the river and drive strait to the dealership and buy that boat! big crowds already.

Was that you fishing the jaws on Monday?
I was watching that bobber at every cast (probably more than my pole) hoping you would hook up. I was marking a lot of silvers around you and expected you to get bit any minute. Oh well, next time.

yeah That was me. I caught 2 silvers and a chinook in the same spot two weeks ago, but no luck yesterday. After feeding half of my herring to the gulls one of them had the nerve to take a dump right in the middle of my chest! It wasn't my best day.

And after you fish the Salmon river out of the boat, You will go home and put a "for sale" sign on it. There is only about 3 holes you can fish with a boat. And if if want to get a good spot in one, You need to put in at 1:00AM. Thats why I stay away from there.

I fished it over L-day weekend while I was staying in Lincoln city. TALK ABOUT COMBAT FISHING!! And I guess it's still early. I saw people beating down blackberry bushes so they could fish 3' away from another guy that was hooking up. INCREDIBLE! Definitly a cluster-youknowhat. Few fish being caught below 101 bridge.
