Default Will the Pats go undefeated?

I do not know, but they sure look like they could. Their schedule down the home stretch does not look all that bad.

It looks like they have 2 more games this season. The fish and the jets will be red shirt games, and for two others they may have to play Brady for one half. Tonights game was a lot of fun to watch until it was 28-10. After that, let's just say the tv was on, but a lot of little chores got done. If not 16-0, then 15-1. Hopefully no one gets injured, on both sides of the ball. It's so much more fun when there isn't a long drawn silence while we watch an immobilized player on the ground. Speaking of, any word of Faulk? He never did return to the game.

After they lock up the division, the coach will take most of the 1st string guys.

They will lose a regular season game, but they are trying to make it to the playoffs/super bowl.

The goal of the season is NOT to go undefeated. The media blitz surrounding it adds unnecessary pressure to the players and staff. A loss could be a good thing from a management point of view.

Pats are playing on a whole different level this season. They make other teams look like amature hour. The real question here is who will face them in the superbowl?

Hopefully some team will wise up, and once they are down by a couple touches, will start blitzing the pants off Brady while the mighty pats run up the score. If they put him in the turf a few dozen times, anything can happen, and this GOAT team would definitely not be the same without Brady.

I am really, really sick of listening to the announcers gush over Brady and Moss and the hoodie. I think Madden would have Brady's love child if he wasn't already so pregnant. I am definitely waiting for the Moss meltdown for not getting enough credit, but I am not sure it's coming.

Anyone see Brady tear the ref a new ear last night after the incomplete screen that was called grounding? Any other QB in the league besides manning gets 15 for that kind of BS. What a baby. 31-39 and 5 touchdowns not good enough for you?

I hope they lose soon, but I don't see it happening.

They have a good chance this year, with the Steelers, & the Giants the as the only real threat(s) it could happen, still if they keep trying to make a statement, by running up the score, instead of putting in second string player when they are waaaay ahead, they run a greater chance of injuries, this could be the only thing to stop them, or like Flatfish say's after they clinch the division, they might rest the starters, & prepare for the playoffs, too early to call at this time.

I don't think a coach who goes deep with the starters on a 3rd and 1 play in the 4th qtr with the score 47-10 or whatever is going to mail it in on a future game if they still have a chance to go 16-0, which, barring injuries ,I think we can all agree is about to happen. Such precision, makes it boring almost. You can almost hear ESPN crying over it that they have NE this Monday night. TV's getting switched quick

I agree with Threemuch. Blitz the living tar and get to Brady. He hardly ever gets touched. The few times they blitzed seven or more they had success. Send six or less and it was trouble. Is anyone else getting tired of Boston teams having so much success? I'm glad the Red Sox won this year with the Madras rookie. But with the RedSox, Patriots and now the new look Celtics - when is enough enough. I wish the NW could have a champion at least one more time before I become crab bait.

Brady will own the TD passing record, Moss will pass Jerry for most TD's in a season, and the Lombardi trophy already has been engraved and sent to Foxboro. The Pats are on a different level than the rest of the league right now. They make good teams look bad and bad team look like Pop-Warner. Could make a case for best team of all time.

When the 49ers were the big team, I don't remember my schoolmates wishing injury on the QB. We were amazed, astonished, and jealous. That was when we had Grogan, who was a talented, but not amazing QB. The Pats and other teams studied the techniques of the 49ers and the Cowboys, took the best and melded it into a new style. That is what makes football interesting and new.

The fact of the matter is that the Pats work under the same salary cap as the rest of the league, and have the same pool of talent from which they draw. What I want to know is why are people whining about the successful team, instead of getting indignant that their favorite team isn't also performing at that level. I know that when the Celtics were crap, Bostonians complained about the Celtics, and not about how San Antonio was so great and blah, blah, blah. But whatever, I feel great about my home state and the sports teams they have been able to showcase this year. I sincerely hope that Oregon can do the same, soon, as they have done with the Ducks up until last Saturday.

Are you kidding -undefeated The fins are sighing refer maddness aka: Ricky the roach Williams to keep the 76 bucks as the worst team ever and defend their 72 undefeated season when they meet the pats at the end of the season.. It will be known as the curse of the rasta man. Zonka and crew have nothing to worry about. They will however make it to the super bowl only to lose in a stunning defeat at the hands of the northwest's own resurgant Seahawks-caw-caw -caw -caw.

Well, that was a nailbiter. The announcers have been saying it all along how the Pat's have a weak secondary. Finally a coach listened. Great effort by the Eagles and Finley, the Pats need to give Asante a little bonus for saving this game for them.
Now, will other teams notice how to play the Pats?

I thought it was a great game. A game that should have belonged to the Eagles. Eagles out played the pats hands down but two interceptions killed them. Good effort. You're gonna have to play mistake free football to beat them.

Gaaaahh! Good game, but the Eagles easily could have won. Why would you throw to the end zone with more than 2 minutes left? Why not run or short pass to one of the best running backs in the league and see if he can break it? Screen pass anyone? If I had Westbrook, I would make it a rule to get the ball in his hands at least every third play. Up that to every play when I am in field goal range down three at the end of the third quarter.

And what's with Dawkins dropping 2 easy picks? Is he on the pats payroll?

Belechik (the devil) said: “That was about the way we expected it tonight. It came down to a couple of plays, and I’m glad we were able to make them.” -Yeah, right, you expected to squeak out a three pointer, when everyone else in the whole world thought you would win by 50. Jerk.

The blueprint is drawn, although many have stated it all season. Blitz the pants off Brady and double cover Moss. On offense, work the middle of the field behind the linebackers and in front of the safeties.

Moss has really grown up. I saw him actually help an Eagle player up late in the game. Pretty good stuff from him.

Did anyone see this article? "Injuries kill everyone but the Pats."

http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/f...icleid=1046576

I am so ready for that trend to change.

Yeah him. I knew his name didn't sound right as I typed it. I blame the hour.

Edit - The Seahawks won too, right? I didn't get a chance to watch that game, but thought I spotted a positive score on the ticker. The overall biggest surprise (to me) was the Vikings murdering Eli Manning. I know they have a great secondary, but 4 in a game is simply astonishing.

Yes, the Seahawks came back to win. 4 INTs on Eli and 3 ran back for scores! Helped my fantasy league out with the 3 ran back as I have Minnesota for my defense. That is 18 points I wasn't counting on.
