Can't hurt, is is polished or painted? It would wear off pretty quick during use though.

Seriously?

I can think of a million other things I could be doing before I'd wax a prop.

Ya if its waxed during storage it will stay nice and shiny. Shiny props look cool. I shine my silver, chrome and brass lures too.

I can't imagine why... stainless is already plenty shiny, and I doubt it would make any difference in how the blade cuts the water. I've been surprised before though-- I'd be interested to hear if an expert has a different opinion.

Sure they look shinny even if you don't wax them. But, they will have water spots. If you wax them they will be truly shinny. I like my boat to look like new and it, not the motor , is 31 this year.
