Default Chinook/Chinook Jacks

Fished up at Herman Creek on the Columbia Toady and it is chock full of Nooks, Nook Jacks, Steelhead, Silvers you name it there in there. My main focus were the nooks and jacks. I fished from daylight til about 10 and didnt even get a bite, All I had was a bobber and prawns. I was wondering what would work the best and how to fish it. I will be going there the rest of the week. Thanks.

jacks are usually pretty agressive, try eggs
under your bobber. Try using just the tail of your prawn peeled.

Eggs! Jacks cant resist them, Plus the big boys are kind of fond of them also.

Hi ya: Fished Herman Creek with "Jig Man"
Bradbury out of float tubes, using fly rods a few years ago. What a blast....had big fish coming up to the tube just to show me a smile. We used flies, count to 75 and start stripping your line in. Watch where the nooks take you.....anchor lines are bad news and of course anywhere near the mouth, otherwise the ride is one you may never forget.

Even though I thought it would be my secret spot ill tell ya. Its about 2 miles north of cascade locks, its a bit tricky to find but if you ask the locals they'll let you know. If you need a partner, ill probably be going there for the next two weeks every morning, and maybe weekends, I dont really like fishing the weekends much , it tends to be a zoo, with 10,000 + nooks crossing the dam a day you gotta take advantage of that!!!
