Default Reports for Siletz, Nehalem or Tillamook

I'm headed over on Thursday and could use any info if possible to make an informed decision (Based solely on guess work and nothing more) as to where to go. I can assume that Tillamook was dead as well as the Siletz as there were no postings. Though maybe they are the hot spots that nobody is talking about. I have to remember that it is still early and there is is plenty of fishing to do in the next several weeks to come.

Posted this before for Cagey:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I fished Nehalem yesterday, and picked up the pole cat. It was dead slow. We worked the jaws, during the incoming, and then moved up to Wheeler, and then further up the river in front of Nehalem.
The bar was wicked rough, so most of the boats weren't trolling that close to the actual jaws. Probably accounts for the lack of fish coming through. I would guess that they don't want to cross that confused whitewater any more than we do.

I had one takedown at the jaws on a herring in an RSK.

We tried whole herring, RSK, cut plug, Alvins, and spinners.

I saw one Chinook being cleaned at the wheeler marina, and heard of one silver landed down by Nehalem. I saw no fish landed in 10 hours of fishing.

There is alot of weed and junk in the bay, it was very hard to keep our lines clean. So you may want to fish the river, at least there we could keep our lines clear of the weeds and actually fish.

Good luck. If it calms down, they may get a surge of fish. Also, the Wheeler Marina picture board had like 5 fish Friday, and three fish Saturday and Sunday, so I think the whole weekend was less than spectacular.
