Default First Adult Salmon & First Steelhead

Yesterday was my day. I caught both my first adult salmon and first steelhead.

Picture: So Mark (dampainter) sez . . . "If you hold the fish with your arms stretched, it will look larger!" Sure, why not. Cheap tricks can be fun. It almost looks superimposed.

A quick lift out of the water for my first steelhead (wild), then back home to be caught another day.
This website has increased my awareness of the importance of respect and proper handling of [especially] the catch we intend to return to the water. I thank all of you. I guess I'm becoming a "fish-hugger."

A good start for a "bankie"

The chinook was from the White Salmon. We fished elbow to elbow, casting these single hook spinners (non-buoyant lure restriction) made by a local guy named Dennis. Although this was one of only two fish caught, green beads seem to be the hot item there.
This is the lowest resolution available, (18K file size). larger file size (better pic) on "Picture Upload" page.

After 5 hours, dampainter and I headed for some stream side solitude and one steelie.
