Default Fishing/Camping on the N. Fork Lewis? Anybody want a ride??

I haven't fished the Lewis in many years, and, as with so many things these days, I have forgot most of what I once knew about it. First of all, is the best drift fromn the meathole down for the silvers (like it used to be for Springers)? Would anyone be so kind as to provide directions to the put in and takeout from I-5 headed north from Vancouver. Better yet, does anyone want to head that way sometime this week? I am available all week, though it sounds like the cool weather we are predicted to have the next three days will keep the bite on better than the 85 predicted for friday. Any camping nearby that is reasonably safe from thieves? I'm anxious to get back in a drift boat after a long, fruitful summer in a sled. Can you say FEEEESSSSHHH ONNNNNN!!!!!

On your way in, drop by Fisherman's Depot on the left as you go through Woodland. They'll have the datails you're looking for. If I recall, about ten minutes up the river from Fisherman's Depot is an RV park on the right (about $16).
Put in at the ramp in front of Merwin dam. It's a little rough but not too bad. It's a steep drive for a tenth of a mile down to the ramp. If you're not drifting the entire river, you can put in at the hatchery. It's five minutes up the road from the RV park.
I'd love to join you, but I won't be sure of my availability 'til later today or tomorrow a.m..
Email me.

Wildhawg, columbia has been slow for me so I
would be interested in other options. Right
now I have my outboard on my drift boat which
takes a little work to get off N on. Your
e-mail is blocked.... Rnewton4@earthlink.net
is my address at home. I'm off all week on vacation.

I'm available for a thursday morning drift. Someone mentioned earlier about drifting from the hatchery to the golf course. sounds ok to me....

Emailme if you want another person.

The meathole is the ticket with eggs and the Jacks are probably pretty thick.
