Oh im a happy dude!!!
Well I got a new wall tent 15 by 24 internal frame from beckel Seams some guy bought it and backed out so I got a deal on ther tent. Its a lot bigger than I wanted but its perdy cool. I went to beckel to look at a tent like ehunters got that TT tent and saw this. the price was right and I got it today. Great people at beckel!!! I wanted a bravo but they are kind of hard to get ahold of. and have a wait time longer than I could wait. I'm gonna be warm during the late hunt !!!!!!!!!! I cant wait to set her up and get a fire going.
Which brings me to the next question . What stove should I buy?

Re: Oh im a happy dude!!!
I have a Becke 15x21 and the Cylinder Stove's Outfitter model. I couldn't be happier with my setup. Does your tent have a door at each end. If it doesn't I would recommend getting it upgraded. It's a nice feature. Plus having a second, opposite stove jack is cool if the wind changes. You can move your stove and not have to worry about it.

Re: Oh im a happy dude!!!
Any cheap or free non certified stove will heat it. We have an old beater that works very well.

Congrads Rich I would tarp it and you will have to find a place big enough to dry her out but that will be big enough for cooking and eating and working on the truck..

Re: Oh im a happy dude!!!
We run a 20x24 that is our sleep tent. For a tent this big, you should go get the 50 gallon drum stove kit. I think it is made by Wolfenzang (sp). I got my drum kit at Ace hardware. The total kit cost around $50.00 and the drum you can find for $10, if not free. Very easy to put together and it will burn all night long!

Re: Oh im a happy dude!!!
two problems with a barrel stove:
They don't have a flat surface to set coffe pot or a kettle of water to heat fo dishes etc.
They will rust out- burn out in the bottom when you least expect it and if you don't check it before you go on a trip you will have no heat.
I learned this the hard way.

Very true, but for the cost of the other stoves you can get 5 barrel stoves. Each of my stoves has lasted about 5 years each. I could have got more life out of them, but we decide to replace the barrel every 5 years. The great thing is, you can simply unscrew everything and put it back on another barrel. We always put larg rocks or bricks in the bottom of the stove to prevent burning out the bottom. We also weld a flat piece of metal to the top of our stove and it works great to put coffe and water on.
This big of a tent you will like the option of extra heat. Especially when you are drying out your clothes or if you are in very cold weather.

Re: Oh im a happy dude!!!
I would give another vote for the Kwik Kamp stoves. It was my third stove for the wall tent and I wont need another one. These stoves are very sturdy and should last a lifetime. I chose the middle size for my 18' octogon tent and it will cook you out. Nothing like feeling like you are in the Bahamas after a long day out in the cold........
