Default silvers on the Sandy

I heard a rumor that fish were being caught up on the Bull Run. A guy I know ws telling me a story about how a friend took him up there the other day and they caught a fish on a pink spinner. Now, this guy doesn't know much about fishing, but apparently his friend does, and he told me his friend said the fish was a coho and 30 inches long. He said it was bright silver, not dark. I could'nt resist it, I went up there and fished up from Dodge Park. There were several guys pitching spinners down under the pipe, that I could see from the bottom of the park. I ignored the main Sandy river, though, and went ahead and hiked up the Bull Run. I saw one other guy fishing, said he was skunked, so i passed him and continued upriver. I came to a large hole with a cave and a waterfall across from me, and was going to wade through some fast water to acess the next hole up, but stopped because I could see bobbers floating in the hole, and guys throwing spinners. I couldn't see the fishermen around the bend, but I had a clear view of the hole. The water was milky from glacial silt coming out of the power house, so I couldn't see into the water, but occasionally someone on the hidden bank would hook up and a fish would be jumping around. I was too far off to see what species they were catching, but I could tell they were smaller sized fish, about 6-10lbs, and very bright. Could it be true? Silvers up this far and no one really knows it yet? I couldn't access the hole from where I was without disturbing the four or five anglers above me, so I hiked back to my truck and then drove up to the powerhouse, where there was several guys looking off of the bridge, and no where to park right in the parking lot there. I was tired, so I just drove past and went home. Has anyone heard anything about this? The locals are definitely all over this river, but I saw no fish in any of the holes I hit, but thats not saying much, because the water was so milky. The fish the guys in that one hole were hooking definitelly werent dark springers though, and I know the Cedar Creek hatchery has had jacks already. If anyone hears more about whats going on over at the Bull Run, be sure and let us know.
