Default Mouth of the Clack report

Mrs. Mission and I decided to take the day off so to speak...so we snuck out to the mouth of the Clack to see what if anything is going on there with the Coho situation. Reccommendation...........wait til next weekend. Didn't see ONE flop or roller in about three hours worth of trolling. Conclusion....they're not there yet in any great numbers...so continue with your "Honey-Do's".................and by the way...Bass love Flash Glos and red wiggle warts. Maybe I ought to start posting on the Bass and Panfish board................But my sled won't do 85 mph...so I'll just let it go.

Hi FishinMission,
I seen a couple roll on the point up river Of the mouth. I also seen one other roll on the opposite side of the Clackamas On the Willamette. I was out there taking out as you were putting in. I was out ther for only a couple hours trolling eggs. I heard of one being caught Saturday on Divers and eggs so I had to give it a try.

So a week or two, and we'll see a lot of fish I hope. That's what I had been hearing. Seems like everybody is trying to get that first fish. I liked going out there today cause of not to many boaters yet. The pressure is still pretty light.

Happy fishing.

i was out on the point on the upstream side of where the clack comes into the willamette (i was wearing the straw hat in case you saw me). i saw about a dozen fish roll in the area. i was bobber fishing eggs and everyone else was pitching spinners. no one caught anything that i saw. hopefully, it will pick up by next week. i took the week off hoping to punch my tag a bunch on silvers stacked up at the mouth. they'd better be there.

Yeah, `tis still early. It is amazing what a couple weeks will do to that area though as far as fish populations. Of course rain wouldn't hurt right now.

I was scouting out an area off of 212 today in a mobile home park that I've got family in. What a nice stretch of water that is (River Bend). I'm looking forward to hitting that water in 2-3 weeks, this is for sure.

I floated from Barton down to Riverside and saw nothing. Heck of a nice day though. Talked to a dozen or so bank fisherman along the way and ran into only one guy who reported hooking a Jack. Water is pretty low, bumped my way along through several riffles.
