Default Ricky Williams NFL Drug Policy

I just read that the NFL is going to reinstate Ricky Williams even though he has failed the drug test Four (4) times.:frown: When you have a policy in place that prohibits the use of Illeagal drugs, why not enforce it. What kind of message does this send? There are alot worse things in this world than Marijuana, but why have a useless policy. I guess if you make millions playing football it's ok. If I had a job that paid like that I am sure I would give the pot up. But I am me and Ricky is who he is, and he is above or is it below the law. No wonder this country is in the mess it is in. Where is the accountability? Am I wrong ? Depending who you are I guess crime does pay. Just my thoughts

I think the answers you are looking for are in your rant.

you must look within the problem to find the solution...if you still are lost here are a few possible answers.

Ricky Williams....
can carry a football and take a hit. You cant. He is better than you.

is a millionaire, you are not. He is better than you.

has an addiction that is a "disease"....like alcoholism. You do not. He is better than you.

Thats one of the best things about America...its never your fault. Accountability? Top to bottom, it doesnt really exist. The rich get off, and the poor get victimized.

Sorry.

The problem is Ricky Williams is not a millionaire. When he quit the Dolphins sued him for all the incentives that had been partially earned and but paid. When they got done with him he didn't have enough money left for a bag of weed. That is why he is trying to make some money now.
Yes, I agree even though it is cold, rules are rules.

It is a sellout by the N F L so the Dolphins can finally get a win. Mark my word! He will come back and he will go to the Dolphins.

Williams is a pothead. Leave him on the beach to toke under the umbrella of homelessness. Sorry, follow the rules or don't make'em.

Ricky IS a pothead.

I'm alot more concerned that a guy might take performance enhancing drugs! Pot is probably a performance decreasing drug for football....other activities like frisbee, disk golf and hackey sack might be a different story.

If someone takes STEROIDS they are increasing the chance of seriously hurting someone...ricky smoked some pot...big deal...you think he's the only professional athlete smoking a little ganja? LOL.

Certainly not. But he is the only one flouting it.

I'm glad to see him flouting the policy. The rules and laws against pot are stupid. What people should be asking is, if this guy can perform, why are we making a big deal about this?

Here, here! I don't want to start a NORML debate, but we, as a society, waste far too much time and energy enforcing a useless drug law. The NFL has always been a visionary business, but they're myopic on this one. Steroids are far more dangerous to an athlete than some plant. They should focus on that, especially with the way Bonds & Co have tainted baseball.
Run, Ricky, run!
