Penn 113HN Baja Special

Bought a couple when they came down to ~$150. Fished one a lot last summer and liked it much better than the 113H. But...... the graphite star drag busted an arm off on the first day I used it. Never saw it happen, but think it was simply putting it in a rocket launcher. I heard the 113HN was being discontinued so I figured I should stock up on star drags if they were going to break that easy! Price for the part: $26.50 plus shipping! After a runaround from Penn, Charkbait, and Ollie Damons, I finally got Ollie Damons to take it as a warranty job. Got it back today and the replacement part is now a metal star drag. Seems like Penn recognized they had a flaw. So, a heads up if you have a Baja Special and kudos to Penn and Ollie Damon's for getting it done at no charge.
