Default cedar creak today

i had to go out to sandy today for work so i thought i would drop by the river.i was going to fish eggs today so i needed to pick up some scissors which i did on the way.i get to the river which was clear and low.i waded across at cadar creek and baited up and as i bent over to wash my hands my new scissors fall into the swift current, goodbye to my scissors.i fish this slot till my bait is gone then walk down to the next slot.i take out my knife and cut some bait and proceed to fish when someting slams my rig, this is a big fish it just slowly works its way up to the head of the pool.im thinking is this a steelie or a fish of another breed,im standing below the fish trying to use the current to tire and work it in this is not working so i go above the fish and try to pull it in like a missle.at this point the fish goes off turning and makeing a run downstream.as im running to cacth up the fish becomes airborn i see the fish for the first time, its HUGE im talking over twenty pounds no prob,i also notice that it has some color, the fish has red from its belly up to the latteral line not like any steelie ive seen.the fish continues to run down to the tailout where i arive sometime later ,now the fish is sulking on the bottem again and out of sight.at this point i am worried that this fish is gonna go down the rapids so i start throwing rocks in the water below it trying to spook it back up.well that didnt work and the fish does what i was thinking it would and heads for the rappids ,down it goes with me trying to keep up.well the fish was to fast and beet me down and managed to wrap around a rock, goodbye fish, mannnnnnnnnnn what a fish,i believe it was a nate coho.fished the next couple of hours with no luck.water was great and fish are available, saw about three fished packed out ranging from chrome to some color.people getting there at daybreak having the best luck.pressure was low maybee 7 or 8 rigs in the lot.

Sounds good. However, I doubt it was a coho this late. I'd bet it was a big nate steelhead.
