Default Lead for Plunking

Getting geared up for plunking. I would like to know what weights, (8oz,10oz, etc.)and should I get Bank or Pyramid type lead. I plan on fishing both CR and Willy rivers in various areas.

Thanks Abunch

CM it's good to be stocked up with an assortment of various leads.. I recommend having some of each 4-10 Oz Pyramid sinkers for the sand and bank sinkers for the rocks..

Thanks, What about lead for Bonniville area? I herd people using 16 to 20oz of lead. Is this true? Also would Bonniville be a rocky area? And Clackamet/Meldrom sandy or rocky?

Thanks
CM

Bonne is very rocky. some places guys use 16oz's
When I fish gators there I use 8oz bank sinkers(large teardrop) with 2- 1 1/4" Concrete nails driven into it..you will lose the lead but you will retain your gear.

Use 65# tough line for mainline, 30#leader and 20# for leadline.

I would disagree on using the tuff line for plunking at Bonneville - mono works better cause of the crowded conditions, the higher abrasion resistance, and the better stretch mono has.
