Default A Christmas Card...

My wife got this emailed to her, I think its great.

l When doing your Christmas cards this year, take one card and send it to this address. If we pass this on and everyone sends one card, think of how many cards these wonderful special people who have sacrificed so much would get.
A Great Idea!!!
When you are making out your Christmas card list this year, please include the following:

A Recovering American Soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue,NW
Washington,D.C. 20307-5001

Very good idea. Worth a bump to the top. That might get me to actually send some this year. Thanks

Just thinking about it, there could very well be a few men and women in there that may not see and type of holiday greeting.

I am sure a card with a short note of wishes of holiday cheer and well doing would bring a few smiles.

Welp, forget this.....a friend checked "Snopes" and it is false....Walter Reed Army Medical Center does not accept cards addressed this way, it need to be to a specific person.

Sorry, Ken

Isn't this the same Walter Reed Army Medical Center we were all ashamed of a few months ago? How about we tell 'em we ARE going to send greetings to our recovering servicemen and they ARE going to deliver them!

I'll bet our legislators will help -- since it was on their watch that the debacle took place.

I'll see what I can scare up and keep you all posted.

Right now BS seems to stand for Bureaucratic Stuff!

Here's the best bet for getting something to our wounded soldiers so they will know that we haven't forgotten...

Angels of Mercy - http://www.mcleanpost270.org/oifoef.htm

They are the real deal, and donations to them will reach our soldiers, not get swallowed up in administrative black holes. If you go to their website, be sure to click on the link "SupportOurWounded.org" and then read "A Day of Volunteering at Walter Reed"

And speaking of administrative black holes, here's the article of the Walter Reed expose'. Sickening.

Walter Reed - http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...021701172.html

As you read through this stuff, keep in mind that ONE B-2 bomber costs over a BILLION dollars.

WOW this is unbelivable, and this is the same government that brags how they take good care of our solders . This is crazy.
