Default Nehalem Picking up?

Going out tomorrow to the bay and have not heard of any good reports lately. I was out their last week and only saw 4 fish caught for about 30 boats. also any advice how to keep all that grass off of your gear, seems like you spend alot of time cleaning it off and not fishing.

I hadn't heard that, Bob.
I don't doubt it, though, by the size of the swells today and yesterday.
I fished the Nehalem yesterday and quite a few were being caught. Well... Not quite a few, but better than it has been.
Saw Clancy put one in the boat just as we put in, and a couple others caught, maybe three in the three hours I fished it.
Best chance seems to be at first light the last two days.
Today, the Coast Guard was keeping people clear back to the first viewpoint at Barview jetty on the Tillamook Bay Bubble.
It didn't look fun out there at all!
Please... Careful out there!

Two boats dumped at the mouth today. If you are going to fish the mouth or go outside be very careful of the bar. I guess it's not so bad that i have to work this weekend as rough as the bar and ocean is this weekend.

Wish i could help you out. I fish the nehalem as often as i can but have not been there for a couple of weeks. The grass is a fact of life, the person who invents a way to keep it off your line will be an instant millionaire. Let us know how you did. Cagey.
