Good news for Heppner Deer/Elk in the future.

I just heard they are planning on taking 30 cougars this year. This past year they took out 20, along with 12 from hunters. Over a 2 year period that should come to close to 70 being eliminated. Kinda scary thinking about how many are really in this unit.

now just do that in every unit and we be in business. More elk and deer.

Great News... my friends hunted there this year and they saw lots of cat sign. Hopefully this will help.

Hopefully, the herds will recover for a while until the Animal Rights Activists get cougar hunting outlawed altogether like they did in California.

I would love to start hunting the Heppner unit again.
