Default Into the Wild

If you want to see a truly great movie check this one out. I can't believe it is playing in so few theaters. Very well done! The book was one of my favs and I was not at all disappointed with the move.

The trailer looks great, I'll have to go check it out. Looks like a good movie for a play date with the wife.................

We went and watched it last night.
I read the book a few years ago.I thought the book was excellent!

As for the movie,it was fairly good.Had some parts that were excellent.I liked the way it was put together.

Our main thought was that it could have been a lot shorter and been as good or better.Real slow start. Also some real slow point in between, but I guess it all tied together. This movie was 2 hours and 20 minutes.Could have been under 2 real easy with out losing anything.

I know they did filming in Longview.I'm sure we could see a clip of Fibre in there.

According to an article I read,The actor lost 40 lbs in this movie. You could really tell it. He did an awesome job also.

A small part of it was filmed at Bales Thriftway- in Cedar Mill, Oregon.

Sorry for the negativity, but I have a hard time spending money on or supporting anything Sean Penn has to do with. :frown:

I totally understand.I also have a very negative view of him.

Honestly have to say I just spaced out relating him to his usual stuff.I usually take that stuff into perspective and would have avoided the movie if I would have thought about it.Unfortunately I was having one of those moments I guess.

Guess its been awhile since some of his antics have been in the news.

Thanks for the reminder though!
