Default Columbia Tributary Silvers

I overheard a conversation at the grocery this morning. The fish are in at the mouth of the Cowlitz. The guy doing the talking was planning on camping there all this next week and fishing every day.

I ran into him a few minutes later and asked him about the Cowlitz. He said "No fish there yet but they are still getting them at buoy 10". I walked away laughing. Does any one else know about the Elochamin, Cowlitz, Lewis etc .....

We got a few silvers last fall by the mouth of the Washougal on red hotshots trolled slow. What is the method used for boats on these lower Columbia tribs? BTW if you run into a silver haired fish hog gent at the Cow, tell him I sent you.

To my knowledge, there's not any up in the Cowlitz. You're about a month or so off for upriver.
The Lewis, now I've heard that.....

so everyone knows, 'SPRINGER' retention from Mill Creek to the Barrier Dam ended yesterday, 1 hour after official sunset. I personally know the gamie in that area, and if I see any retention or mishandling of our resource, I will take action; appropriate or otherwise....

There are Silvers in every trib up to Bonneville.......More every day at this time of Sept. Most major tribs with good runs will have lots of fish within the next 2 weeks...........Lewis as usual (early)has fish throughout the system....
DO NOT FORGET the esturary.......The lower columbis becomes less crowded in Sept and the Silver fishing in Sept us usually very good through at least the middle of the month....AND it's a 4 fish limit

Hi John,

Fished from Goble to Longview and saw about 10% of the boats catching. Not "hot" by any means but pretty steady over 6 hours. There were quite a few on Fish TV at the mouth of the Cowlitz.
