Default Silver Crappie

Can anyone tell me if winter crappie is good at silver? I fish it for bass frequently, but crappie is new to me? Any thoughts?

Thanks

If you hit silver in the next week you could catch a good amount of crappie. BUT once the winter rains start to set in it is really hit or miss, mostly miss. Fall is the best time of year for crappie on Silver Lake but late summer can be good too. My map shows the main quality crappie locations but in the late summer you can find many crappie on the edge of the lilly pads. and on midlake brush piles. Crappie are lots of fun to figure out like bass but when to do dial them in you can really load the boat. My best day for crapie is OVER 800 in one day and I did not even keep one that dayumpkin:.
