SPORT JET BAD. ESPECIALLY IN THE OCEAN OR BOUY 10. SO MANY COAST GUARD CALLS WITH PLUGGED INTAKES. ALL JETS BAD HERE, YOU KNOW! NOT JUST ALUMAWELDS. NON SPORT JET ALUMAWELDS ROCK! MY STRYKER IS THE BEST FISHING BOAT I EVER HAD. I WOULDNT TRADE IT FOR ANOTHER COMPARABLE BOAT! EVER! I DO NOT AGREE WITH THE "ALUMAGLUE" TITLE HANDED DOWN ON THIS POST. Hack2ee maybe clueless but does have a point. I can't imagine any boat having worse gas mileage than my boat unless of course its a jet boat.

One valuable lesson learned this year, it takes alot of fuel to get to the ocean and back with a 305 v8 5.0 liter i/o. Flying over swells coming back in one tends to leap off one and go into the bottom of the next thereby taking a salt shower.
