pine creek cow hunt. Need help

Have not hunted pine creek before. I'd appreciate any help where to start looking for cow elk. Hunt starts Nov. 17th. Thanks!

Most of the unit burned to the ground last year. I have a co worker that deer hunts it every time he can and he said elk where everywhere but little deer during season. I'll bet if ya find any timber you'll find a small herd hanging in it. I wouldnt sweat it. That hunt should be like going to the fred meyer meat counter.

I just need some general areas to start with. A creek drainage or ridge line will help.
