Default Sunday Too Windy for Crabbing Netarts?

Hi Guys,

I've never crabbed at Netarts before. Is it going to be too windy tomorrow to rent a boat and go out? High tide is around noon or so. This seems like it might be sketchy:

-------
A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 55. Breezy, with a southwest wind 11 to 14 mph increasing to between 20 and 23 mph. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph.
-------

Advice?

Thanks,
Motor

Does get a bit frustrating when no one posts or offers advise on a fairly straightforward question
We (wife and I) were planning on Crabbing today at Illwaco/Hammond but decided to "crab by the forecast" instead and am staying home with the NFL, the leaf rake and making the list for Thanksgiving dinner.

Me and my friend got three keepers. They were big ones though, lots of meat. I talked to two other guys at the ramps. One boat got 14 keepers, the other boat got skunked.

It was actually a pretty nice day, many sun breaks. There was a pretty steady breeze, so wind waves 1-2 feet all day coming from the Southwest.

One other note for newbies: Be advised that there are *two* RV parks in Netarts --- Netarts RV (on the water), and Big Spruce. I made a reservation for one, and accidentally showed up at the other and they said "Here's your boat." Oops. It took awhile to sort it out at the end. The two companies had to get on the phone and hash it out. Small town, so they were able to work it out and I did not incur a no-show fee.

Cheers,
Motor

Sounds like a good day to me. At least you got something, you could have been that boat that came in with 0 keepers. Glad you got some meat out of your trip.

That's a pretty funny story about the two parks. At least they were kind enough to work things out for you!
